The substation of this wind farm was completely built in the Puerto Real shipyard. It occupies a surface area of 1,144 m2 and weighs 3,900 tonnes. The alternating current substation, which is called Andalucía 2, collects the electricity produced by the wind turbines and transforms the voltage from 66 kV to 220 kV to send the electricity over the marine cable to land.
